“we” “our” “us” means Highway Hill Ltd, company number 0989 2303, registered office: The Barnyard, Highway, Calne, Wiltshire, SN11 8SR.
“you” means the person or persons whose name and address are set out in the Booking Application. “Accommodation” means the accommodation at Highway Hill confirmed as available in a Booking Confirmation email from us.
“Booking Application” means either a booking request form (accompanied by the relevant payment) or an online booking application (and relevant payment) via our website or a third-party website requesting Accommodation on the dates specified.
“Booking Confirmation” is an acceptance by us to you in writing (email or hard copy) of a Booking Application made by you.
“Visit Period” means the period set out in the Booking Confirmation.
“Site” means the Barnyard at Highway Hill to which access is available for those who have booked Accommodation shown on the map at the Site and on the website.
“Site Rules” means the guidelines designed for your safety and comfort sent to you as part of the Welcome Pack and displayed on Site.
“Party” means together you and the persons named on your Booking Application and any visitors to the Accommodation during the Visit Period.
If you want to cancel your booking, please tell us immediately by telephone and then send a confirmation email or letter. The beginning of the cancellation period starts at the next Highway Hill working day, in other words, from 9 am to 3 pm Monday to Friday. If you cancel, we will incur extra administration costs and we might not be able to re-let the Accommodation. We will make refunds as follows:

Please see “Changing your booking” for more details on how to amend your dates to a different time. Please note if you start your holiday with us and then leave early no refund is payable.
In circumstances that are outside our control, for example, adverse weather maintenance issues, we may have to cancel your booking. If we do so we will tell you as soon as possible and you can either have a full refund or accept alternative dates, but you will have no further claim against us for any losses.
Highway Hill are not liable for refunds or expenses you incur in the event we are prevented from fulfilling your Booking as a result of circumstances beyond our control. Such circumstances shall include (but will not be limited to) war, terrorism, serious crime, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics, or such similar events (“Force Majeure”). We recommend that you have adequate holiday insurance in place to cover this.
Prices are correct as we publish them, but we reserve the right to alter or correct them before a Booking Confirmation is issued. We reserve the right to change prices to reflect any change in the rate of VAT or if any further taxes become applicable.
We are a country site with uneven terrain, animals, and heavy vehicles. We aim to provide services that are as accessible as reasonably possible, so it is important that you tell us of any needs or requirements on the Booking Request Form being submitted. Please telephone us to discuss if necessary.
We try our best to meet any reasonable special requests but cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so. Any special requests identified on the Booking Request Form are not a condition of booking.
We are sorry. We already have animals on-site so we cannot accept any pets at present.
You may check-in from 2 pm on the day of arrival. We cannot guarantee that a member of staff will be on-site to greet you, but you will be sent details of access to the relevant key safe in advance of your visit. Departure is prior to 10 am on departure day.
Smoking, including E-cigarettes, is forbidden inside all our accommodation. Two dedicated outdoor smoking areas are provided with ashtrays.
You are responsible for the safety, welfare, and behaviour of all your Party.
Deepwater is on Site and children must not be allowed near it unless supervised by you. All warning signs on Site, speed limits, and Site Rules must be observed at all times. You must use all shared areas in a responsible and considerate manner.
Parking is only allowed in designated areas. Vans, commercial vehicles, boats, or trailers can only be on-site with our prior written consent which we can withhold without giving any reason.
We hope that you will have a truly memorable holiday with us. However, if any problems arise please tell the site office immediately whilst you are still on holiday with us. We can only take action on any complaint if you tell us about it while you are here so we can try to resolve it with you. If we cannot resolve it whilst you are here, you must write to us as soon as possible and within 28 days after the end of your holiday. We take every care to make sure that the details on our website are correct when we publish them. We reserve the right to make changes to suspend or withdraw any services advertised on the website.
We operate a no-tolerance policy on drugs. Anyone found taking illegal drugs or other illegal substances will be asked to leave the Site immediately and no refund will be issued.
No shotguns, firearms, sparklers, fireworks, knives, archery equipment, or illegal substance, or similar items may be brought onto the Site.
We are a quiet rural location with neighbours living nearby. We, therefore, ask our guests to respect our neighbours at all times and to keep noise levels to a minimum between 9 pm and 9 am.
Wi-Fi is only available near the kitchen, office/reception, and Hayloft Venue area and is not guaranteed.
This agreement is subject to English Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
Your contact information and other data will only be used for the purpose of your booking and will be stored securely on encrypted servers and/or locked cupboards for hard copies. By booking, you are giving us consent to contact you about that booking. Your data will not be given to or available to third parties and will only be used for the purposes of your booking. You will not be added to our mailing list without your explicit consent.
