Open Day – Introduction to our facilities

On 6th February, we are opening our doors to local businesses, sole traders, and curious neighbours – come and have a look around Highway Hill’s spaces and facilities!

We are keen to get the word out about our fantastic venues, as we regularly get feedback that people in the local area aren’t aware that we’re here. That means that local teachers, businesses, and activity providers are missing out on all the amazing benefits that come with working with us at Highway Hill, and we’re all missing out on the great and long-lasting relationships that we could form together.

 

The day itself

The Open Day will begin at 10.30am, and the first 10 people to arrive will receive a FREE bottle of Highway Hill apple juice!

There will be opportunities for networking and tours around our site and indoor and outdoor facilities. At 11.30am, our Managing Director, Anna Addington, will give a short presentation on Highway Hill’s marketing strategy and how we can support your business to hold events and activities at Highway Hill. After that, there will be a chance to ask questions and more time for tours and networking.

We hope that this event will be a great opportunity for local practitioners to get to know us and fall in love with our facilities. One of our greatest assets (beside the fantastic natural resources that surround us) is our friendly and helpful team – we are willing and able to be flexible and creative to support you to use our facilities.

More about us and our venues

Highway Hill is a small, family-run team that aims to make the beautiful Wiltshire countryside more accessible to all. We offer several outdoor and indoor venues as well as seasonal glamping, and can give personalised support to help you get the most out of your event or activity.

Potters Wood is a small, well-maintained woodland available for outdoor activities such as bushcraft, archery, and forest schools. There is lots of flora and fauna in a safe and contained area, making it a perfect setting for children and adults alike to explore the outdoors and experience their wild sides – although there is also a parachute for shelter if the weather gets a bit too wild! Potters Wood is also ideal for outdoor team building and corporate events, .

The Hayloft is a beautiful converted upstairs barn, with original wooden beams and loads of natural light. We now offer the Hayloft as a package with nearby Potters Field, giving the flexibility of holding your event or activity outdoors as well as indoors. The Hayloft is perfect for yoga and fitness classes, business meetings, and more. Use of wifi, high-quality yoga equipment for 8-12 people, an electric piano, and trestle tables and chairs, can all be arranged and are included in the hire.

Haigha’s Form is a well-equipped safari tent located in our campsite, with cooking and dining facilities, a woodburning stove, and cosy chillout area. Haigha’s Form is perfect as an add-on to other facilities – as a space to feed your guests during a day-long event, for example. During the winter season (November to March) Haigha’s Form can be hired as a stand-alone facility for your cookery classes or more informal meetings and events, whereas during the summer season there may be glamping guests sharing the space. To reflect this, we have lowered the price of Haigha’s Form as an add-on facility from £50 to only £15 for the day!
