Those of you who have been lucky enough to attend any of the yoga retreats at Highway Hill run by Catherine Forrester of Helix Yoga will know what a nourishing treat they are for mind, body, and soul. Those of you who have not yet had that pleasure, fear not! Catherine has booked in three new dates for 2018: February 11th, April 8th, and June 17th.
The day retreats are held on a Sunday, 10am – 5pm, and feature a long, gently energising yoga practice in the morning, followed by a home-cooked vegetarian lunch. After lunch there is a chance to go for a walk as a group around the gorgeous hills, fields, and woodland that Highway Hill has to offer. As each retreat is seasonally themed, this is an opportunity to connect your yoga and meditation practice with the environment and ground your awareness in nature and its cycles; this can be a deeply joyous and expansive way to nurture yourself. If you don’t fancy a walk or would prefer some time to yourself, there is always the option to do your own thing, either by walking on your own or having some quiet space in the Hayloft where we have the yoga. The day wraps up with an extended meditation and some restorative yoga to leave your body and mind feeling deeply nourished, supported, and cared for.
