As a new and emerging business in the glamping and outdoor activities field, one of our key challenges has been spreading the word about what we do and getting other people as excited about Highway Hill as we are, so we were thrilled when the prestigious website Muddy Stilettos got in touch to say they wanted to feature us in their exclusive Little Black Book for Wiltshire! Muddy Stilettos is ‘the urban guide to the countryside’ and has a wide range of reviews, recommendations, and tips for how to get the best out of your countryside experience even if you’re generally more comfortable navigating high rises and smog than cow pats and birdsong.
If inclusion in their Little Black Book wasn’t enough to give us a warm fuzzy glow, we have since been featured in their article on wedding venues, as a place to stay after the festivities have died down. Muddy Stilettos thinks, and we agree, that Wiltshire has loads to offer people who want a countryside wedding; with the wide open skies, fabulous views, and studding venues dotted around the county, it’s a wonder that anyone even looks elsewhere! Our shepherds huts and bell tents are perfect for guests who want their accommodation to be a little quirkier, or who are embracing the festival wedding approach. More and more people are turning a wedding into an opportunity to have a weekend away, and our accommodation at Highway Hill is ideal for either group bookings – think sharing a taxi back, lighting the fire pit, staying up til the small hours chatting and sharing your thoughts on the great day you’ve had together, then busting your hangovers with an invigorating walk the next day – or those who just want a little peace and quiet in a cosy space after a full-on day.
We hope that our relationship with Muddy Stilettos will be a long and fruitful one, and that it makes it easier for people to find us and experience what we have to offer at Highway Hill. We feel so lucky to be surrounded by all these amazing resources and can’t wait until we can start sharing them with more people!
